Job Description About the Role We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of customer-facing and internal applications in a fast-paced travel/hospitality environment. This role will partner closely with product, engineering, and delivery teams to define test strategy, execute testing across releases, and continuously improve QA processes. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on QA experience, deep familiarity with Jira, and working knowledge of API testing (a smaller portion of the overall workload). Day to Day u2003u2022 Own and execute end-to-end testing for web and/or mobile applications, including functional, regression, smoke, and UAT support. u2003u2022 Create and maintain clear test plans, test cases, and test execution evidence aligned to release timelines. u2003u2022 Work in Agile/Scrum teams to provide early QA input on requirements, acceptance criteria, and edge cases. u2003u2022 Log, track, and manage defects in Jira, ensuring high-quality documentation and strong follow-through through resolution. u2003u2022 Perform API validation/testing (estimated ~10% of overall effort) using tools such as Postman/Swagger or similar; validate request/response payloads and integration behaviors. u2003u2022 Collaborate with engineers and product owners to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and confirm release readiness. u2003u2022 Help improve QA efficiency through better test coverage, risk-based testing, and repeatable regression approaches. Contribute to quality standards, best practices, and continuous improvement across the SDLC. Excellent communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally. Plusses u2003u2022 Experience testing eCommerce, booking engines, reservations, loyalty, payments, check-in/boarding, or guest service platforms. u2003u2022 Exposure to test automation (any framework/tool) and ability to collaborate with automation engineers (if applicable). u2003u2022 Basic SQL for validation, data checks, or troubleshooting. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
