Now Hiring: Music & Theatre Arts Teacher Job Title: Music & Theatre Arts Teacher Location: Lillington, North Carolina Employment Type: Part time Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Monday - Friday Position Summary: The School Teacher implements the daily instructional plans of the classroom teacher in an effective manner. The School Teacher maintains a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth and establishes effective rapport with pupils while maintaining proper classroom management. The School Teacher works effectively with the building administrator and other teachers. Key Responsibilities: + Develop and deliver engaging instruction in music, theatre, and performing arts that supports diverse learning styles and fosters creativity. + Plan, organize, and direct school performances, concerts, theatre productions, and student showcases. + Teach foundational and advanced skills in vocal performance, instrumental music, acting, movement, stage presence, and ensemble collaboration. + Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic expression, confidence, and teamwork. + Assess student progress through performances, projects, and formative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth. + Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and arts departments to integrate performing arts into broader school programming. + Manage rehearsal schedules, performance logistics, and production needs, including costumes, props, and technical elements. + Maintain classroom instruments, equipment, and materials, ensuring safe and effective use. + Support students in developing discipline, creativity, and appreciation for the performing arts. + Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, upcoming events, and performance expectations.
