Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Janesville, Wisconsin. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions and ensuring accuracy in accounts payable processes. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining efficient workflows. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and reconcile invoices with accuracy and attention to detail. u2022 Ensure timely and accurate entry of financial data into the accounting system. u2022 Perform account reconciliations to verify and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Manage check runs, including preparation and distribution. u2022 Code invoices properly to align with organizational standards and procedures. u2022 Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for accounts payable tasks. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to address invoice-related issues and inquiries. u2022 Maintain organized records of transactions and documentation for auditing purposes. u2022 Monitor and adhere to deadlines for invoice approvals and payments. u2022 Support the implementation and integration of new accounting processes or systems as required. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar role. u2022 Proficiency in financial software such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. u2022 Experience with invoice processing and coding. u2022 Familiarity with account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. u2022 Knowledge of check runs and payment processing. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication skills. u2022 Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams effectively.
