Job Title: EVS Housekeeping Job Responsibilities + Execute routine, terminal, and isolation cleaning tasks in a timely manner. + Perform high/low dusting and cleaning of walls, ceilings, vents, and lighting. + Maintain cleanliness of restroom facilities and care for floors. + Remove and transport trash and medical infectious waste safely. + Move furniture and equipment as needed. + Clean various hospital and clinic areas including emergency rooms, operating rooms, and public spaces. Essential Skills + Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. + Capacity to stand for 8 hours. + Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, hearing, and comprehending English. + Stable work history with at least six months in each position. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Preferred six months of experience in cleaning or housekeeping. + Experience in roles such as housekeeper, janitor, environmental services, caregiver, or custodian. Work Environment You will work at Froedtert Hospital in Pleasant Prairie, frequently interacting with patients and hospital staff. The role involves frequent exposure to medical infectious waste and requires physical activities such as pushing, pulling, and transporting heavy objects and equipment. Cleaning tasks necessitate frequent kneeling, stooping, and climbing of stepladders. Be prepared for constant repetitive hand and arm motions, and occasional exposure to exposed patient body parts.
