Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and compliance for a manufacturing organization in Mercer County, New Jersey. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure smooth financial processes and manage a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will excel in managing compliance standards, driving efficiency, and fostering growth within the accounting department. Responsibilities: u2022 Lead and oversee all financial reporting and compliance processes, including SOX compliance requirements. u2022 Manage and mentor the accounting team to ensure attention to detail in development and high performance. u2022 Ensure accurate documentation and scanning of financial records to maintain organized and accessible information. u2022 Compile and analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making. u2022 Oversee document control processes to ensure compliance with organizational standards. u2022 Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize financial operations. u2022 Develop and implement streamlined processes for efficient document management. u2022 Drive improvements in financial systems and reporting to support business objectives. u2022 Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting systems to identify areas for improvement. u2022 Provide guidance on technical accounting issues and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in a Controller or similar financial leadership role. u2022 Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and regulatory requirements. u2022 Expertise in document control, scanning, and compiling financial records. u2022 Solid technical accounting skills with the ability to address complex issues. u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage and develop accounting teams. u2022 Excellent organizational and analytical skills for handling financial data. u2022 Familiarity with financial systems and tools to enhance operational efficiency. u2022 Effective communication skills to work across departments and with external partners.
