Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and supporting the organizationu2019s accounting processes. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of accounts payable procedures and a commitment to maintaining efficient workflows. Responsibilities: u2022 Process invoices by matching, batching, and coding them accurately to ensure timely payments. u2022 Utilize the chart of accounts to assign proper codes for financial transactions. u2022 Monitor budgets and enforce spending limits to align with organizational financial goals. u2022 Prepare accounting documents for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings. u2022 Provide support for accounts receivable tasks as needed. u2022 Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards. u2022 Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. u2022 Assist in resolving discrepancies and responding to vendor inquiries promptly. u2022 Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures during the accounts payable process. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role. u2022 Familiarity with accounting principles, including chart of accounts and budget management. u2022 Proficiency in basic Excel functions for data entry and analysis. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial documentation. u2022 Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams. u2022 Knowledge of accounts receivable processes is a plus. u2022 Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday, adhering to a 35-hour workweek schedule.
