Description We are looking for a skilled Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization in Weymouth, Massachusetts. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining effective internal controls, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a leadership position, managing a team while driving improvements in accounting processes and systems. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance. u2022 Manage general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and oversee both month-end and year-end closing processes. u2022 Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. u2022 Develop and monitor annual budgets, analyze financial performance, and identify variances against expectations. u2022 Supervise cash management operations, including banking relationships, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. u2022 Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. u2022 Collaborate with external auditors to coordinate tax filings and manage audit procedures. u2022 Enhance accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. u2022 Provide strategic financial insights and actionable recommendations to support decision-making by the business owner. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting, including roles such as Controller or Accounting Manager. u2022 Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively, fostering detail-oriented growth. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with managing multiple operating entities. u2022 Strong skills in financial analysis, reporting, and presenting actionable insights. u2022 Experience working with external auditors to ensure compliance and manage audits. u2022 Excellent organizational and communication abilities for collaboration and reporting. u2022 Capacity to adapt and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems.
