Job Title: Lead Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanic to join our team. This full-time position offers a regular work schedule from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The role requires a seasoned professional with over 10 years of diesel mechanic experience, particularly with tractor trailers. The ideal candidate should be fully capable of performing full-service repairs independently and possess supervisory experience. Responsibilities + Supervise the maintenance department, overseeing all material handling equipment, trailers, and trucks. + Perform full-service repairs on diesel engines independently. + Manage and prioritize different projects within the maintenance department. + Diagnose and troubleshoot engine issues. + Conduct preventive maintenance on engines. + Maintain and repair material handling equipment. Essential Skills + 10+ years of diesel mechanic experience. + Experience working on tractor trailers. + Supervisory experience managing at least 3 people. + Understanding of diesel engines. + Proficiency in troubleshooting, repair, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical work. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Tech school education in Diesel Mechanic or Engine repair. + Experience in welding and fabricating is a plus. + Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
