The successful candidate will lead a small team of talented RF engineers engaged in the development of antennas and antenna systems supporting a variety of programs. Major areas include functional leadership, mentoring and oversight, process development and enforcement, interfacing with program management and senior leadership.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of RF engineers and technologists focused on innovative solutions. Collaborate closely with program managers to maintain engineering support of a wide variety of active projects. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through training, performance management, and cross-departmental collaboration. Develop and refine processes to ensure engineering rigor, design review, and proper documentation. Lead the evaluation of software tools and test equipment. Participate in the development of new business opportunities and expansion of existing business opportunities. Develop proposal content such as technical volumes and cost volumes. Serve as the primary technical liaison with senior management, regulatory bodies, external partners, and suppliers. Present project progress, strategic opportunities, and risk assessments to various stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and effective decision-making. Perform as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for company-wide RF-related concerns.
