Android Developer (Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE))

Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future Job Summary We are seeking an Android Developer with strong Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) expertise to build and enhance a Bluetooth orchestration layer - a shared platform component that standardizes and coordinates BLE device interactions across multiple app features. The engineer will deliver reliable device discovery connection lifecycle management event normalization and resilience patterns for BLE-enabled store/IoT workflows. Responsibilities Android BLE Development - Develop and maintain BLE functionality in Android Native apps using Kotlin. + Implement end-to-end BLE workflows: discovery/scanning connect/disconnect and ongoing device interaction (as required by the product). Bluetooth Orchestration Layer (Platform / Shared Component) - Design and implement a Bluetooth orchestration layer that centralizes BLE responsibilities to avoid duplication across feature teams. Certifications Required Strong experience in Android Native development with Kotlin. Experience with Bluetooth/BLE (Bluetooth/NFC exposure is commonly expected for this role family internally).Cognizant is an equal opportunity employer.
