Assistant Controller

Description We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team in Newmarket, New Hampshire. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to the financial operations of a growing company. You will collaborate closely with the Controller to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes while supporting the development of best practices. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage and oversee accounts payable entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance. u2022 Prepare and analyze financial statements to support informed decision-making. u2022 Supervise inventory accounting processes, including bill of materials (BOM) management. u2022 Assist with month-end close procedures and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts. u2022 Collaborate with the Controller to establish and implement financial best practices. u2022 Monitor and maintain general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency. u2022 Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. u2022 Provide oversight to one staff member, offering guidance and support as needed. u2022 Utilize NetSuite to streamline and enhance financial operations. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management. u2022 Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management. u2022 Strong knowledge of inventory accounting and bill of materials (BOM). u2022 Experience in preparing financial statements and reports. u2022 Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems. u2022 Ability to perform bank reconciliations and resolve variances. u2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. u2022 Strong communication and organizational abilities.
