Collects and distributes patient information, billing information, and collection information. Makes patients and families aware of hospital policies and procedures. The duties of this position require the exercise of leadership with co-workers and courtesy in speaking with patients, families, and others to maintain sound community relations. Directs and coordinates the pre-registration functions and personnel. The duties of this position require the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with patients, families, and others to maintain sound public relations.REQUIRED:1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Twenty-four (24) months clerical, customer service, insurance, registration, or call center experience in a healthcare setting. 3. Excellent communication and strong customer service skills. 4. Working knowledge and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on computer. 5. Typing skills of 30 wpm.
