Parks and Recreation - Summer Camp Counselor at Personnel Plus, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Fun, active, and rewarding role working with youth in the community Monday-Friday schedule, typically 8:30 am-4:30 pm Opportunity to build leadership skills and gain hands-on experience with children Dynamic team environment with indoor and outdoor activities Camp dates 6/8/2026-7/31/2026 Week of 4th of July off Duties: • Supervise and actively engage youth participants, ensuring their safety, well-being, and enjoyment during all camp activities • Lead group games and activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and positive social interaction • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment where all children feel valued and respected • Communicate camper needs, progress, and concerns with Camp Coordinators • Model appropriate behavior and serve as a positive role model for campers • Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies or behavioral challenges while following safety protocols • Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure compliance with camp policies and procedures • Collaborate with fellow counselors and supervisors to create a fun, safe, and engaging camp experience • Maintain materials and inventory and report lost, broken, or low supplies to the Recreation Coordinator • Ensure and promote the safety of all participants during assigned activities • Other duties as assigned Requirements: • Must be at least 16 years of age unless otherwise noted • Must obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification prior to first shift (Recreation Coordinator will schedule) • Ability to pass a fingerprint background check • Must be drug-free • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Demonstrate teamwork and maintain a positive, collaborative attitude • Ability to actively participate in daily activities, including running, jumping, lifting, and creating a fun experience • Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor settings in varying weather conditions • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move up to 30 lbs • Must be available for training 5/29/26 Why work for Personnel Plus, Inc.
