We write, produce, shoot and edit, working collaboratively across the organization. We are looking for a weekend Senior Producer who will be a key member of the CNN video organization, leading the weekend team that produces news video for all of CNNu2019s digital platforms. Your New Role... This role will primarily be responsible for overseeing the teamu2019s weekend coverage. The Senior producer will monitor the news of the day, making assignments and overseeing scripts and edits. The Senior Producer will coordinate closely with newsgathering teams across the globe to bring in the most compelling content and ensure audience needs are met across all digital platforms. They will make smart editorial decisions quickly to best serve the audience with whatu2019s new. They should also be prepared to oversee content while seamlessly stepping in to support scripting, video editing and publishing as needed. The ideal candidate is a video-first storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced news environment. They are a confident leader, comfortable making assignments and overseeing the work of others. They should be well versed in creating vertical videos, as well as 16x9 content. Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail and creativity are a must, along with an ability to operate effectively within a complex deadline-driven news organization. This position is anchored around a Saturday and Sunday 6am-2pm shift, with flexibility on weekday scheduling and can be based in NY, Atlanta or DC. Your Role Accountabilitiesu2026 + Planning for and covering the news of the day + Managing production resources to create compelling digital video content + Generating ideas and assignments to meet audience demands + Giving feedback on scripts, edits, and headlines + Experimenting with new formats to reach new consumers + Coordinating across all CNN teams and platforms. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discoveryu2019s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $87,500.00 - $162,500.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
