Job Description This role is responsible for ensuring the operational integrity, reliability, and scalability of the Critical Environmental Systems supporting the clients IT Research computing, storage, and network infrastructure. The position partners closely with internal stakeholders, peers, and contractors to manage data center operations, monitoring systems, maintenance, and expansion projects while maintaining N+1 system integrity across electrical and HVAC systems. The role also serves as a subject matter expert for research-driven data center growth initiatives. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: Skills and Requirements u2022 Minimum 4 years of experience supporting and managing Critical Environmental Systems or data center facilities u2003u2022 Hands-on experience with data center operations and maintenance in large-scale environments u2003u2022 Strong knowledge of: u2003u2003u25cb Electrical distribution systems (AC and DC) u2003u2003u25cb UPS systems, generators, and transfer switchgear u2003u2003u25cb HVAC systems (chillers, pumps, valves, humidification, chemical treatment) u2003u2022 Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS) u2003u2022 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision u2003u2022 Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation u2003u2022 Experience with capacity planning, infrastructure monitoring, and metrics u2003u2022 Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and industry-standard monitoring/reporting tools u2003u2022 Demonstrated ability to solve problems in constrained space, power, and cooling environments u2003u2022 Ability to work in a fastu2011paced, highly collaborative environment u2022 Data center certifications (e.g., Certified Data Center Management Professional u2013 CDCMP or similar) u2003u2022 Familiarity with ITIL framework u2003u2022 Experience using Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools u2003u2022 Experience managing projects of varying sizes Experience supervising small technical teams (2u20135 people)
