We are looking for engineers with hands on physical security systems design and development experience. As a Security System Engineer, you are responsible for designing, configuring, and troubleshooting security systems, including IP surveillance cameras, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and all other security facing systems as needed. This role requires a blend of technical network expertise with a deep understanding of physical security technology and industry standards. Scope of work includes complex integrations of security systems involving multiple teams inside and outside the organization. Also, the duties include security system design and engineering, working with the data center architectural and engineering teams to assure security best practices are observed, drafting new systems into the design teams build plans and specifications, and coordinating with regional and local physical security leaders to understand the new building and security system designs. In this role you will work with the Principals and the Senior Engineers to drive the standardization of designs across the global region in production data centers and resolve open technical issues in the security systems space. As part of the team, you will work with highly motivated experts and innovators in the data center industry. You will drive multiple projects, including security systems deployments and retrofitting legacy equipment's. Utilizing Amazon Leadership principles, you will develop new processes or standards and test new innovations in the physical security space. You will participate in the research and development of new technologies and designs applicable to our products or services. You will be also responsible for writing technical documentation for such projects. You must be capable of defining critical equipment specifications and approving equipment submittals.
