About this roleJob Posting: Senior Tax AnalystPosition: Senior Tax AnalystLocation: Columbus, Ohio - HybridEmployment Type: Full-TimeDepartment: Tax / FinanceAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join our tax team. In this role, you will support all aspects of corporate tax compliance, reporting, planning, and analysis, including both direct and indirect tax. You will collaborate closely with internal finance partners, external advisors, and tax leadership to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all tax functions.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who gets energy from seeing all areas of tax with exposure to other finance and business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage indirect tax functions, including sales & use tax, property tax, and other indirect tax compliance, by working with external partners and internal softwarePrepare and review supporting schedules for federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns that are prepared by external partners.Partners with accounting team during month-end close to ensure timely and accurate tax account reconciliations and adjusting entriesAssist with tax audits and notices, by coordinating responses, gathering data, and drafting explanations.Monitor changes in tax laws and help assess their impact on the business.Contribute to process improvements, including automation, documentation, and internal controls.Analyze tax positions, perform research, and document findings in clear, concise technical memos.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.4-6+ years of relevant tax experience (public accounting, corporate tax department, or combination).Experience preparing or reviewing US sales & use tax returns is strongly preferred.Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax rules, including preparing income tax returns is a plusCPA or progress toward CPA is a plusExperience with tax incentives is a plusASC 740 experience is a plus.Experience preparing Canada GST/HST and Mexico VAT, a plusProficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., Avalara, Vertex, OneSource, CorpTax), a plusMicrosoft Excel advance skills is a plus.Proficiency with large ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, CSD), is a plusStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.A self-starter who takes ownership and works well both independently and in a team.Supervisory experience, a plusWhy Join Us?Opportunity to work on a wide variety of tax projects, expand technical expertise, and exposure to corporate operationsCollaborative team culture with strong leadership supportProfessional growth through training, mentorship, and exposure to strategic tax workCompetitive compensation and benefits packageOTC is an equal employment opportunity employer.
