Job Description Summary: This position will prepare supporting schedules of the Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for all OhioHealth entities while also learning the Medicare and Medicaid cost rules and regulations. u2022 This position will be responsible for learning to ensure the appropriate governmental Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement that is received for all of OhioHealthu2019s entities. u2022 This position is primarily responsible for learning and being proactive on calculations and modeling of new regulatory changes and impacts as well as variance analysis of third-party liability accounts. Provides supporting work papers and documentation for management. u2022 This position has no supervisory oversite. u2022 This positon supports and works with the Sr. Reimbursement Analyst, Sr. Reimbursement Consultant, Reimbursement Advisor and Manager of Reimbursement as needed on projects and processes. u2022 The Reimbursement Analyst will learn to be a subject matter expert over time from exposure in the following areas, S-10, Wage Index, Bad Debts, Medicare Audits, Disproportionate Share, Indirect Medical Education, Graduate Medical Education, and Governmental Logs, (HCAP, UPL and Franchise Fee programs in the state of Ohio) as well as special projects as assigned. The Reimbursement Analyst will work on partial and full parts of these subject matter areas. u2022 Extensive ongoing engagement of learning of Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting and reimbursement regulatory requirements, both federal and state is required. u2022 The Reimbursement Analyst is required to use extensive interpersonal skills in communicating with all reimbursement department levels as well as outside departmental contacts at OhioHealth. u2022 This role functions in a heavily matrixed environment and requires strong prioritization, communication and planning skills. Responsibilities And Duties: This position will prepare and learn sections of the Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for all OhioHealth entities. Knowledge in the following areas: Subject matter learning on CMS cost reporting, disproportionate share (DSH), Uncompensated Care, Bad debt reporting, IME/GME, Medicare Wage Index, S-10 reporting, Tricare and 855u2019s, Ohio Medicaid, HCAP, UPL and Franchise Fee programs. Subject matter learning on Acute Care Hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals, Sole Community Hospitals and Rural Health Clinics. Subject matter learning of reimbursement in specialty areas such psych, inpatient rehabilitation units, Home Health and Hospice. Projects support as assigned by the Manager of Reimbursement Provide the Manager of Reimbursement with updates. CGS audits and auditors support as directed by oversite role. Special projects / analysis as assigned by the Manager of Reimbursement. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree: Finance (Required) Additional Job Description: + BS or BA in Accounting or Finance. + Minimum of 4-6 months experience in addition to bachelor's degree requirement, may include summer internship. + Strong team player and communication and skills. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE Min: Proficiency in Microsoft applications, knowledge of clinical & financial patient management systems, demonstrated ability in financial analysis and cost reporting. DESIRED ATTRIBUTES CPA, MHA or MBA. Experience with Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting 1-2 years as a Reimbursement Analyst or similar position(s).
