What YouWill Contribute: The Trade Compliance Specialist supports BadgerMeter's global trade compliance program and plays a key role inensuring the company meets all import, export, and regulatoryobligations. This role partners closely with internal teams, customsbrokers, and freight forwarders to maintain compliance, reduce risk, anduphold Badger Meter's commitment to ethical and efficient globaloperations. Key Responsibilities Operational Support Respond tointernal and external inquiries through the shared inbox to ensuretimely order processing and issue resolution. Review and releaseexport holds, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of import filingssubmitted by customs brokers. Conduct restricted party screening forcustomers, vendors, and other third parties. Regulatory Compliance &Data Management Maintain accurate trade classifications, includingUSML, ECCN, HTS, and country-of-origin data. Manage Section 232 andother trade remedy-related import data elements. Support U.S. andCanadian import audits, U.S. export filing audits, and related riskmanagement activities. Assist in managing the U.S. C-TPAT program andother supply chain security initiatives. Process Improvement &Documentation Create, update, and maintain trade complianceprocedures and work instructions. Support the development anddelivery of trade compliance training across the organization. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to strengthen complianceprocesses and reduce operational risk. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with all Badger Meter sites, customs brokers, and freightforwarders to ensure adherence to government regulations and corporatepolicies. Perform additional duties as assigned; up to 10% travelrequired. Education & Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience intrade compliance or a related field. Associate's degree in SupplyChain, Logistics, or a related discipline preferred. Training inExport Administration Regulations required. ITAR training preferred.Qualifications Working knowledge of ECCN, HTS classification,tariffs, duties, and free trade agreements. Experience collaboratingwith customs brokers, freight forwarders, and U.S. government portalssuch as ACE and SNAP-R. Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, andPowerPoint.
