JOB REQUIREMENTS: Adjunct Assistant Professor - General PracticeResidency Posting Number: 201104672 Employment Status: Part Time JobFamily: Faculty Position Overview Marquette University School ofDentistry, in association with a local affiliated hospital, seeks apart-time faculty member for its developing Advanced Dental EducationGeneral Practice Residency (GPR ) certificate program. We are looking tofill three days per week, with a minimum of one full day per week.Faculty will join our innovative, growing team to provide the higheststandard of comprehensive dental care services with resident teaching,mentoring, curriculum planning and effective supervision inside of ournewly renovated clinic space. You will work with high-quality residentsin our state-of-the-art clinic with collaborative and engaged colleaguesacross the healthcare spectrum. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Alongwith other program faculty, supervise and mentor residents in theComprehensive Care Clinic within the School of Dentistry. Affiliatedhospital privileges are not required. 2. Provide clinical instruction,assistance in teaching and oversight of resident care of patients. 3.Consult and work closely with medical professionals while leading adental clinic of dental hygiene professionals and auxiliary dental andoffice staff. 4. Participate in professional and clinical skilldevelopment activities with optional continuing education activities atdiscounted faculty rates. Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesQualified applicants must have a DMD /DDS degree from a US or Canadiandental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation.Applicants must hold or be eligible for a full Wisconsin dental licensewithout restrictions. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesSuccessful completion of either the CODA accredited 1) General PracticeResidency (GPR ) Program or 2) Advanced Education in General Dentistry(AEGD ) program is preferred but not required Experience and stronginterest in dental resident training. Experience or an interest inproviding clinical care and instruction in the treatment of patientswith medically complex conditions.
