This role will be involved with the Software Development Life Cycle methodology and framework, directing software system validation and testing methods, as well as directing software programming initiatives. This position works closely with clients and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals. Essential Accountabilities: Level I u2022 Develops code, analyzes, researches, and resolves associated system issues. u2022 Participates in on-call production support rotation. u2022 Supports, maintains, creates and follows all documented IT processes and standards, application documentation and design and code reviews. u2022 Collaborates and communicates with team members and associates throughout the business to understand requirements and identify application impacts. u2022 Creates individual work plans, specifications and programs with guidance utilizing development procedures and standards. u2022 Develops skillset in one tool and ability to utilize the approved source control. u2022 Establishes a basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle methodology and framework use by your team, post one year demonstration of basic understanding and application of this skill. u2022 Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companiesu2019 mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs. u2022 Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures. u2022 Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required. u2022 Performs other functions as assigned by management. Level II (in addition to Level I Accountabilities) u2022 Participates in strategic discussion and decision-making. u2022 Serves as a mentor in their area(s) of technical expertise. u2022 Provides input to creation and documentation of organizational standards. u2022 Continuous development including the skillset of a second programming language and one tool/platform. u2022 Develops and implements an intermediate understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle methodology and framework. u2022 Develops understanding in one supported enterprise technology, post one year demonstration of intermediate understanding and application. Level III (in addition to Level II Accountabilities) u2022 Proactively identifies process and technical deficiencies, troubleshooting and offering solutions to resolve. u2022 Identifies best practices and participates in creation of organizational standards. u2022 Progresses the Software Development Life Cycle methodology and framework forward by demonstrating advanced understanding and application. u2022 Provides intermediary understanding of one supported enterprise technology and developing an additional basic understanding of another enterprise technology. Post one year demonstration of intermediate understanding, and application of an additional technology. Level IV (in addition to Level III Accountabilities) u2022 Assists with software and system design and architecture within the assigned portfolio. u2022 Develops strategies to mitigate risk and translates those strategies into specific action plans. u2022 Acts as a subject matter expert in their area(s) of technical expertise. Identifies best practices and drives creation of Organizational Standards and processes. u2022 Progresses the Software Development Life Cycle methodology and framework forward by demonstrating advanced understanding and application. u2022 Provides understanding and expertise of two (2) supported enterprise technologies and developing an additional basic understanding of another enterprise technology. Post one year demonstration of advanced understanding, and application of, additional technologies. Minimum Qualifications: NOTE: We include multiple levels of classification differentiated by demonstrated knowledge, skills, and the ability to manage increasingly independent and/or complex assignments, broader responsibility, additional decision making, and in some cases, becoming a resource to others. In addition to using this differentiated approach to place new hires, it also provides guideposts for employee development and promotional opportunities. All Levels u2022 Associate's degree in computer science, information technology or related field. In lieu of a degree, three (3) years of experience required. Bacheloru2019s degree preferred. u2022 Basic knowledge of at least one (1) programming language, such as C#/. NET, Java, SQL, C++, Python, Visual Basic or JavaScript. u2022 Basic understanding of one (1) of the following tools/platforms such as: Informatica, CI/CD, Pega, Power BI, Cognos. u2022 Basic knowledge of at least one (1) operating system, such as Unix-Based or Windows. u2022 Basic database experience u2022 Basic understanding of software testing and quality. u2022 Demonstrated basic ability to effectively communicate and partner with team members and direct leadership to understand user stories and identify application and system impacts. u2022 Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills. u2022 Demonstrated basic ability to implement security architecture principles, and best practice standards that align to the Organizationu2019s overall business and strategy. u2022 Basic technical knowledge of techniques, standards, and state-of-the-art capabilities for authentication and authorization, applied cryptography, data masking, encryption, security vulnerabilities, and remediation. u2022 Basic understanding of OpenAPI Specification (OAS) and Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) vulnerabilities and risks. Level II (in addition to Level I Qualifications) u2022 Intermediate knowledge of at least one (1) programming language, such as C#/.NET, Java, SQL, C++, Python, Visual Basic or JavaScript. u2022 Intermediate Experience with one (1) of the following tools/ platforms such as, Informatica, CI/CD, Pega, Power BI, Cognos. u2022 Intermediate knowledge of at least one (1) operating system, such as Unix-Based or Windows. u2022 Intermediate database experience u2022 Intermediate understanding of software testing and quality. u2022 Intermediate knowledge and familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle development methodologies. u2022 Intermediate knowledge of source control processes and application. u2022 Intermediate technical knowledge of techniques, standards, and state-of-the-art capabilities for authentication and authorization, applied cryptography, data masking, encryption, security vulnerabilities, and remediation. u2022 Intermediate understanding of OpenAPI Specification (OAS) and Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) vulnerabilities and risks. Physical Requirements: u2022 Ability to work prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a workstation and working on a computer. u2022 Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time. u2022 Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed. u2022 Ability to work in a home office for continuous periods of time for business continuity.
