DescriptionOur Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)isa 20 bed combined medical-surgical unit which cares for more than 1600 critically ill children each year and is the only Level I Trauma PICU in NEO.When a child is transferred to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital's team of caring pediatric team isavailable to provide the highest level ofexpert critical care in Northeast Ohio. This includes care and treatment for traumatic injuries, critical illnesses, and for children recovering fromsurgery.
