Aboutthe Role: As a CBREIntegrated Laboratory Solutions Metrology Apprentice, you will train alongsideexperienced calibration professionals to support the inspection, calibration,and verification of precision measurement and test equipment used in highlyregulated laboratory environments. This role provides hands on exposure toelectronic, mechanical, and dimensional measurement systems while developingfoundational skills in metrology, documentation control, and qualitycompliance. The apprenticeship is part of CBREu2019s Critical and TechnicalServices function, supporting mission critical client laboratories. WhatYouu2019ll Do: u2022 Ensureprompt, flexible, customer-focused equipment support. Maintain compliance withstatutory, regulatory, and engineeringstandards. u2022 Observedevice calibration and return, document control, and verification. u2022 Work withinthe service logging process and asset database. Ensure supporting documentationis accurate. u2022 Review theperformance of the scientific equipment and systems. Work with the team tosuggest improvements. u2022 Supportmanagement by visiting onsite vendors alongside the client metrology team. u2022 Supportdata-related initiatives such as contract renewal, asset replacement, etc. u2022 Attend clientmeetings to review ongoing performance, areas for continual improvement. u2022 Follow a setprocedure in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities. u2022 Impactthrough methods, tasks, and duties which are clearly defined and followed withlittle to no discretion. WhatYouu2019ll Need: u2022 High SchoolDiploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program ortechnical school. u2022 Meet thephysical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking,climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50lbs. or more. u2022 Ability todevelop skills to perform basic activities in own job. u2022 Demonstratedability to effectively communicate. u2022 Familiaritywith Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. u2022Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset. u2022 Simple mathskills. What Youu2019ll Need + Applicants must be currently authorized to workin United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. + High school diploma or general education degree(GED). + 4+ years of experience working with automatedconveyors and controls. + Proficient using computers and Microsoft OfficeSuite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). + Experience with MHE safety standards inaccordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards. + Knowledge of electrical and electronicprinciples, National Electrical Code (NEC), and/or industrial electronics. + Ability to conduct preventative &procedure-based maintenance. + Experience reading blueprints and schematics. + Experience with Programmable Logic Controls(PLC) programs. + 3+ years of work order management. + Ability to use and interpret statisticalequipment to run metrics such as OEE/Up Time to prioritize accordingly. + Ability to solve problems and carry out generalinstructions in standard situations such as; routine maintenance, repairs,preventative measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safetycompliance. + Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements includingstooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with or withoutreasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications + Associateu2019s or higher degree from a vocationalschool or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field. + Previous leadership experience. + Previous vendor management experience. + Experience with robotic maintenance. + Experience with CMMS + Certification preferred in one or more of thefollowing: electronic, electrical, mechanical, access control servers, PLCs,process controls, robotics, or mechanical power transmissions. The minimum salary for the position is $140K per year and the maximum salary for the position is or $170K per year. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidateu2019s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBREu2019s applicable benefit program.
