Mechanical Assembler Job Description Join our team in the manufacturing and assembly of industrial power systems. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for wiring power systems and assembling electrical components. You will use your skills to read schematics and engineering drawings for precise assembly and utilize hand and power tools, including power drills, wire crimpers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, hammers, and tape measures. This role requires standing for the entire shift, occasionally on ladders, as you work on units up to 8 feet in height. Responsibilities + Wire power systems and assemble electrical components. + Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematic drawings. + Utilize hand and power tools such as drills, wire crimpers, and screwdrivers. + Stand for the entire shift and occasionally work on ladders for assembly. Essential Skills + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools. + Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematic drawings. + Competence in using a tape measure. + High School Diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in manufacturing, construction, handyman work, HVAC, automotive, or similar industries is beneficial. + Experience in wiring, soldering, electrical assembly, maintenance, installation, or any electrical work is advantageous. Profit sharing bonuses are paid quarterly, equating to approximately $1 extra per hour. Benefits are provided immediately upon permanent employment. Work Environment Work in a large, open bay production facility with multiple workstations and bays. The production floor is not climate-controlled, but industrial-sized ceiling fans keep the air moving. Safety gear, including safety shoes, glasses, and earplugs, is required. The shift is from 6:00am-4:30pm (Monday to Friday) and 6:00am-12:30pm on Saturdays. Availability to work on Saturdays is mandatory.
