Job Title: Awning Installer u2013 Commercial & Residential Location: Downtown, Jacksonville FL (32206) Shift: 7am - 3pm M-F (normally working until 4:30pm) Pay: $20-$22/hr About the Role We are seeking a skilled and reliable Awning Installer to join our team. This role involves installing a wide variety of awning systems on both residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working outdoors and at heights, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities + Install various types of awnings, including retractable, fixed-frame, metal, and fabric systems + Perform accurate site measurements to determine installation requirements + Assemble awning frames , support structures, brackets, and mounting hardware + Safely operate power tools, hand tools, ladders, lifts, and installation equipment + Troubleshoot and repair existing awnings, including structural, mechanical, and motorized systems + Load, unload, and transport materials, equipment, and finished awnings to job sites + Ensure all installations meet safety regulations , manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards + Communicate professionally with customers regarding installation details and maintenance recommendations + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, tools, and company vehicle + Follow all company safety protocols and adhere to OSHA job site requirements Required Skills & Qualifications + Previous experience in construction, installation, carpentry, fabrication, or similar hands-on trade + Ability to lift 50u201375 lbs and work comfortably at heights + Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with power tools + Ability to read and follow installation instructions, measurements, and diagrams + Valid driveru2019s license and clean driving record + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail + Professional communication and customer service skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
