Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a Contract to permanent employment basis in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently. u2022 Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting. u2022 Handle billing functions, including generating invoices and tracking payments. u2022 Record and post journal entries to maintain correct financial data. u2022 Manage payment posting and ensure proper allocation within company systems. u2022 Review insurance and contract documents for financial accuracy and completeness. u2022 Collaborate with team members to maintain organized and updated accounting files. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. u2022 Support month-end and year-end close processes as needed. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. u2022 Solid understanding of billing procedures and account reconciliation. u2022 Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices. u2022 Capability to post journal entries and manage financial records. u2022 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. u2022 Experience with financial software or systems is preferred. u2022 Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
