Facility Security Officer

*MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Facility Security Officer (FSO)** to join our team in **Virginia Beach, VA.** This is an **onsite** position. **Responsibilities:** + Administer and coordinate all aspects of the industrial security program to ensure compliance with government and company security policies + Develop and maintain security procedures, including the creation of manuals and training programs for site employees + Conduct thorough internal investigations and security audits to protect organizational properties and sensitive information + Respond to and manage contingency events, such as environmental threats or security breaches, in coordination with law enforcement + Oversee the selection and management of external security contractors and guard forces to maintain onsite safety + Analyze standard security problems and implement effective solutions using established precedents and professional judgment + Provide guidance to new associates on security protocols while supporting the overall quality and integrity of the team's work **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study + 5+ years of professional experience in industrial security or a related discipline + Proven knowledge of government security standards and the ability to apply them in a corporate environment + Experience in conducting internal investigations and risk assessments to safeguard company assets + Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex security information in straightforward situations + Proficiency in managing emergency response protocols and coordinating with government law enforcement agencies **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience managing a contract guard force within a government contracting environment + Advanced understanding of key business drivers and their impact on organizational security needs + Certification as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) through the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency + Ability to work independently with a moderate level of guidance while solving a range of straightforward problems **Clearance Requirements:** + An active Secret security clearance is required for this position. **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% + Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. + Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations MANTECH International Corporation considers all qualified applicants for employment without regard to disability or veteran status or any other status protected under any federal, state, or local law or regulation.
