JobSummary As a Groundskeeper at MSOE, you will maintain the campus groundson 22 acres in Downtown Milwaukee to ensure comfort, safety and beautyfor students, staff, faculty and visitors. From caring for indoor andoutdoor green spaces in the warmer months to ensuring safe walkways andparking lots during Wisconsin winters, your work will directly supportthe safety and experience of thousands of students pursuing careers inengineering, nursing, business, and applied sciences. Maintaining campusgrounds, Athletic Fields, indoor and outdoor greenery, and parking lotsManaging irrigation schedules and maintenance on sprinkler systems.Clean up of campus grounds including emptying outdoor garbagereceptacles. Capable of proper pruning of trees, shrubs, and hedges.Maintaining equipment in good condition including preventativemaintenance, responsible for safe operation, security, and cleanlinessof equipment. Using and maintaining power tools. Qualifications HighSchool diploma or GED. 1 year of related groundskeeping experienceFamiliarity with common plant species and landscaping. Knowledge ofproper use of tools and equipment, including plow trucks and other snowremoval equipment. Some building maintenance experience preferred.Physical Demands Must be able to use a ladder, areal lift platform andall maintenance related equipment and tools.
