JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Works withPrincipal Investigator to develop a research project. Executeslaboratory experiments specific to aims of research. Troubleshootsassays and customizes experimental tools to answer research questions. Coordinates external and internal resources necessary for completionof research plan. Provides direction to Technologists and Trainees. Generates clear and complete records of experimental work. Communicates results of research at meetings. Participates inpublication and presentation of research. GENERAL DUTIES Adheres toBCW, Bio-safety, NRC, OSHA procedures and regulations. Attendsrequired laboratory meetings. Maintains currency with informationrelative to the field of research being performed. Serves as aresource for techniques, information, instrumentation, interpretation ofdata, etc. for laboratory personnel May be expected to help directthe work of Research Technologists. Operates, calibrates and performsroutine maintenance on specialized research equipment. Preparessolutions, reagents, media or stains necessary for experimentalprocedures. May maintain or oversee maintenance of inventory oflaboratory supplies and equipment. May prepare and/or authorizerequisitions for ordering supplies and equipment. Performs otherlaboratory duties as assigned.
