Principal Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description A Pharmaceutical company based in San Diego, CA is seeking a Principal level Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. They will serve as the senior technical authority responsible for designing, modernizing, and optimizing enterprise-scale Azure-centric cloud environments integrated with AWS and on-premises technology infrastructure. This role drives large-scale platform transformations including workload migration, infrastructure consolidation, automation-first provisioning, cost optimization, GxP-aware cloud environments, and performance engineering across hybrid architectures. The position requires deep expertise in Azure cloud engineering, strong AWS experience, and hands-on integration with VMware virtualization, enterprise storage, identity systems (AD/Azure AD), networking, and scientific compute platforms.
