Janitor/Facilities Maintenance

Job Title: Janitor Job Description The Maintenance Janitor is responsible for keeping the premises, offices, and warehouse areas both inside and outside clean and orderly. Responsibilities + Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming. + Maintain and clean common areas, bathrooms, the kitchen, and office areas. + Maintain and clean the parking area, entrance, and building windows. + Collect and dispose of debris and trash from the warehouse, including cleaning inside and outside the warehouse area. + Empty trash cans for proper disposal. + Clean windows using appropriate detergents and equipment. + Follow procedures to properly handle chemical cleaners to prevent damage to floors and other objects. + Use the companyu2019s cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, brooms, mops, and detergents. + Follow work schedule for cleaning areas as established by immediate supervisor. + Monitor and notify management of deficiencies or necessary repairs. + Maintain cleaning equipment, tools, and materials necessary to perform daily tasks and notify the immediate supervisor to make essential purchases if any material is needed. + Perform other tasks and special projects related to the position as requested. Essential Skills + Ability to perform general cleaning tasks using cleaning equipment and tools. + Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management. + Ability to organize and prioritize tasks. + Experience in janitorial, custodial, and housekeeping duties. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in cleaning and handyman tasks. + Basic English communication skills, with the ability to communicate with the facilities manager. + Experience in preventive maintenance, repair, and facilities maintenance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
