What youu2019ll do: PRIMARY FUNCTION: Eatonu2019s PDCA Power Distribution Control Assembly division in El Paso is currently seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance and Facilities Technician will support the OPEX and EHS departments by helping to drive continuous improvement in the electrical assembly operations by maintaining the facility and production equipment, completing PMs and minimizing downtime. The position will support operations, and capital assets (equipment, machinery, building, etc.). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment, including but not limited to lifts, lift tables, cranes, workstations, fans, motors, gates, doors, pumps, pressure vessels. u2022 Read and interpret technical diagrams such as electrical, hydraulic schematics and PLCs. u2022 Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment using a systematic process to identify root cause (electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC). u2022 Mechanical and general facilities repairs, painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, welding, roofing. u2022 Support daily plant operations through effective troubleshooting and repair of Mechanical, Electrical, and Control system adhering to all policies, procedures, and instructions. u2022 Maximize equipment reliability by effectively performing assigned work orders and PMs. Ensure complete and effective repairs. Proactively initiate work orders based on PM observations. u2022 Complete work on Continuous Improvement activities related to the facility as needed (5S+, TPM, Set Up Reduction, etc.) u2022 Assist with outside contractors on various plant projects and repairs. u2022 Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned. u2022 Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. u2022 Complete/maintain maintenance logs and associated documentation. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: u2022 Experience in metal fabrication processes and equipment. u2022 Able to utilize hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics in troubleshooting scenarios. u2022 Minimum three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment. u2022 Minimum of 1 year knowledge and experience in the electrical field with voltages from 24V to 480V. u2022 Minimum of 1 year of knowledge and experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, working with systems, reservoirs, pumps, valves, sensors, cylinders, piping, tubing, hoses, switches, and motors. u2022 Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software. u2022 No relocation is provided for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility will be considered. u2022 Must be legally authorized to work in the US on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Minimum of five (5) years experience in the electrical or mechanical maintenance field. u2022 Program and maintain software in Ladder (PLC) Assembly, HMI systems and Basic languages. u2022 Strong electrical background and experience. u2022 Two year technical degree or certification in either electronics, electrical power and controls, fluid power, HVAC or basic PLC programming. u2022 Journeymen or three (3) years of documented maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade. u2022 Licensed HVAC Technician, Plumber, and/or Electrician. u2022 Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly operation. u2022 Familiarity with wastewater treatment. u2022 Demonstrated knowledge of PLC electronic controls u2022 Basic skills in reading, arithmetic and writing in English and Spanish. u2022 Bilingual (English/Spanish) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: u2022 Candidate must be able to travel outside of the continental United States including, but not limited to, the Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Canada u2022 Ability to work safely and produce effectively with minimal supervision to include work at varied heights using fall protection, permits, and other safety processes and procedures as required. u2022 Must be a safety-conscious team player by having understanding with safety standards such as electrical safety, arc flash, and lock out/tag out (preferred knowledge of all OSHA work and safety rules). u2022 Advanced skills in one or more of the following: Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, PLC troubleshooting and repair. u2022 Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, and parts breakdowns. u2022 Strong organizational, presentation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills. u2022 Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format and work with all employees throughout plant. u2022 Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team. u2022 Dexterity for and ability to operate equipment, machinery, and computers (including Windows and MSOffice as well as industrial software) u2022 Familiarity with DC and AC power up to three phase 480 V. u2022 Committed to continuous learning. #IND123 #IND456 #LI-KM1 #LI-RR2 We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
