In this position, youu2019ll play a key part in maintaining the integrity and security of electronic gaming and video draw poker devices by certifying, testing, and inspecting equipment to ensure it meets strict technical and compliance standards. Youu2019ll work directly with industry professionals, law enforcement, and internal teams to monitor devices, verify software accuracy, investigate potential tampering, and ensure all systems report revenue and performance correctly. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any area. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any area. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: The Gaming Enforcement Division is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled professional to ensure the integrity and compliance of electronic gaming devices and monitoring systems across the state. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with gaming industry professionals, enforce regulatory standards, and support the safe operation of Louisianau2019s gaming market. Key Responsibilities: + Performcertifications, configurations, and testingof electronic gaming devices, video draw poker machines, and monitoring system software to ensure devices are secure, unaltered, and compliant with state regulations. + Serve as theprimary technical liaisonbetween gaming industry representatives and the Video Poker Technical Support/Administrative Section, reviewing issues, providing input, and assisting with the implementation of compliant solutions. + Conductrandom compliance inspectionsat licensed gaming establishments to verify that devices and monitoring systems meet security, certification, and regulatory standards approved by independent testing laboratories. + Collaborate with internal teams and higher-level staff toinvestigate technical problems, recommend solutions, and implement corrective actions. + Maintain detaileddocumentation of certifications, inspections, and compliance activities, ensuring accurate records for regulatory and audit purposes. + Stay current onemerging technologies, gaming devices, and industry standardsto provide expert guidance and support ongoing compliance initiatives. + Support ongoingtraining and education effortsfor internal staff and licensees regarding device operation, monitoring systems, and compliance procedures. + Perform additional duties as assigned tosupport the mission of maintaining integrity and public trustin Louisianau2019s gaming industry.
