About the Role: As a CBRE Data Center Manager, you will manage the team responsible for providing preventative maintenance and repair services to a data center in Kenilworth. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments. What Youu2019ll Do: u00b7 Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. u00b7 Ensure uptime and reliability of critical infrastructure (UPS, Chillers, HVAC, generators, etc.). u00b7 Oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement. u00b7 Manage vendor relationships and service contracts. u00b7 Monitor capacity planning and support infrastructure scaling. u00b7 Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and security standards. u00b7 Develop and manage operational budgets and reporting. u00b7 Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. u00b7 Manage the relationship with the client while working with other stakeholders to meet all MSA requirements. u00b7 Responsible for ensuring the completion of configuration management, work orders, preventative maintenance, and repairs within the agreed SLA timeframe. u00b7 Resolve unforeseen circumstances that occur and inform the client or Sr. management when needed. u00b7 Verify facility infrastructure equipment installations are within the agreed SLA timeframe. u00b7 Oversee Information Technology equipment power installations, relocation and decommission requests. u00b7 Check daily routine cleanup of the data halls and review findings. u00b7 Confirm all deployments are installed to applicable internal, manufacturer, and industry standards. u00b7 Ensure that all records are updated following any changes made. Ensure that documentation is also kept up to date for all applicable processes. u00b7 Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments and presents to Sr. management. u00b7 Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement. u00b7 Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. u00b7 Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes. What Youu2019ll Need: u00b7 Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. u00b7 Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred. u00b7 Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. u00b7 Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department u00b7 In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. u00b7 Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. What You'll Need: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future. High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a diploma. Valid driver's license and completion of an apprenticeship required. Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems. Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products - including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Basic math skills - ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups. The minimum salary for the position is $82,368 annually [or $39.60 per hour] and the maximum salary for the position is $91,520 annually [or $44 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidateu2019s skills, qualifications, and experience.
