Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Fresno, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices and a detail-oriented approach to handling complex financial tasks. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee and execute month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. u2022 Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are recorded properly. u2022 Prepare and post journal entries, verifying accuracy and compliance with company policies. u2022 Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between internal records and external statements. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. u2022 Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. u2022 Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors. u2022 Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field. u2022 Expertise in month-end close procedures and financial reporting. u2022 Proficiency in managing general ledger operations and journal entries. u2022 Strong skills in account and bank reconciliations. u2022 Familiarity with accounting standards and regulations. u2022 Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and analytical abilities. u2022 Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. u2022 Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
