Sonographer u2013 Ultrasound (Levels I, II, III, IV) Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $62.71 - $92.81 an hour - Per Diem, Nights shift. Every Saturday 6:30PM-7:00AM Range includes per diem and night differential. Pay is based on level and certifications Boulder Community Health is seeking a skilled Sonographer to perform high-quality diagnostic Ultrasound exams in the areas of Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Pediatric, and small parts imaging. You will assist the radiologists with procedures and ensure optimal patient care. As a proficient communicator, you will serve as a problem-solving leader and organizer, by fostering effective collaboration with staff. Responsibilities u2022Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care, ensuring a positive experience throughout the diagnostic imaging process. u2022Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a variety of specialties (e.g., abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts) using sound judgment, proper scanning techniques, and accurate anatomical measurements to support clinical diagnosis. u2022Collaborate closely with Radiologists and interpreting physicians by providing high-quality images and relevant clinical information to aid in timely and accurate interpretation. u2022Assist Radiologists and physicians with ultrasound-guided invasive procedures, maintaining sterile technique and ensuring patient safety throughout. u2022Safely transport patients to and from the Imaging Department, prioritizing patient comfort and adhering to transport protocols. u2022Routinely inspect, clean, and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance; report malfunctions promptly to biomedical engineering and department leadership u2022Participate in ongoing quality assurance and quality control initiatives to maintain accreditation standards and improve patient outcomes. u2022Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations as required, providing emergency diagnostic imaging services. u2022Follow proper infection control protocols and safety procedures for handling and disposing of biohazardous and infectious materials. u2022Efficiently utilize the hospitalu2019s electronic medical record (EMR) and radiology information systems (RIS/PACS) for scheduling, image archiving, and reporting. u2022Review clinical histories, prior imaging, and relevant test results to determine appropriate imaging protocols and ensure comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.
