Controls Engineer

Position Overview The Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining control systems and automation solutions used in manufacturing, industrial processes, and machinery. This role works closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to improve system performance, ensure equipment reliability, and support ongoing production needs. Key Responsibilities + Design & Development + Develop, test, and implement control system architectures for automated equipment and industrial processes. + Create PLC, HMI, SCADA, and motion control programs. + Design electrical schematics, panel layouts, and system documentation. + System Integration & Commissioning + Integrate controls with mechanical and electrical systems. + Commission machinery and processes, including on-site startup support. + Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to ensure efficient and safe operation. + Maintenance & Support + Provide technical support for production and maintenance teams. + Diagnose control system failures and implement long-term corrective actions. + Maintain and update controls documentation, backups, and revision history. + Continuous Improvement + Analyze equipment performance and identify automation opportunities. + Implement process improvements focused on safety, quality, and productivity. + Stay current with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Waukesha, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
