Exclusive Brand Packaging Designer Location: Fort Wayne, IN Level: Salaried Division / Department: Marketing & Ecommerce / Creative Reports to: Creative Supervisor Travel: Minimal About the Role The Exclusive Brand Packaging Designer is responsible for leading the visual design and execution of packaging across the companyu2019s exclusive brand portfolio. This role ensures that each product reflects a cohesive, compelling, and high-quality brand experience consistent with brand standards and strategic objectives. The position plays a key role in shaping how exclusive brands are presented both in-store and online. The Designer translates product features, brand strategy, and consumer insights into impactful packaging solutions that differentiate products in the marketplace and enhance overall brand perception. Responsibilities include: + Packaging Design & Development + Conceptualize and design innovative packaging for exclusive brand products across multiple categories. + Create layouts, dielines, and production-ready artwork that align with brand standards and manufacturing requirements. + Ensure packaging designs are functional, cost-effective, and optimized for both retail shelf presence and e-commerce presentation. + Brand Identity & Visual Consistency + Maintain and evolve visual identity standards for exclusive brands across packaging systems. + Ensure consistent use of typography, color, imagery, iconography, and messaging hierarchy. + Develop scalable packaging systems that create strong brand blocking and recognition across product lines. + Prepress & Production Collaboration + Prepare print-ready files and collaborate with printers and vendors to ensure accurate production execution. + Review proofs and press checks for color accuracy, structural integrity, and quality control. + Partner with sourcing and merchandising teams to understand material constraints and timelines. + Cross-Functional Collaboration + Work closely with merchandising and the exclusive brands team to align packaging with product positioning and campaign strategies. + Support new product launches, brand refresh initiatives, and packaging optimization projects. + Incorporate feedback while maintaining strong design integrity and brand standards. + Continuous Improvement & Innovation + Stay informed on packaging trends, materials, sustainability practices, and competitive landscape. + Identify opportunities to enhance packaging functionality, sustainability, and shelf impact. + Contribute to long-term brand strategy through thoughtful design solutions. Education and Experience: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communication, or a related field. + 2+ years of experience in packaging design, preferably within retail, CPG, or consumer-focused industries. Skills and Abilities: + Strong portfolio showcasing packaging systems, brand identity work, and production-ready files. + Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and + Experience preparing files for print production and understanding of packaging materials and processes. + Strong understanding of branding, visual hierarchy, and retail shelf strategy. + Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
