Description We are looking for a dedicated Personal Injury Settlement Disbursement Specialist to join our law firm client's team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this role, you will handle the critical final stages of personal injury cases, ensuring accurate documentation, timely resolution of liens, and efficient disbursement of settlement funds. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with legal teams and medical providers to deliver exceptional service to clients. This is an in-office role with a full benefits package. Responsibilities: u2022 Open health insurance claims and ensure all necessary documentation is properly processed. u2022 Maintain detailed and accurate notes in the firm's case management system to track the case closing process. u2022 Monitor case progress and provide regular updates to clients, ensuring timely resolution of claims. u2022 Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, case managers, and lien negotiators to facilitate case completion. u2022 Work with medical providers and lien holders to resolve issues, verify balances, and negotiate reductions on outstanding medical bills. u2022 Submit claims to government agencies such as Medi-Cal and Medicare for lien resolution and prepare files for submission to demand writers. u2022 Assemble and review the final disbursement package to ensure compliance and accuracy. u2022 Communicate with insurance carriers to secure settlement checks and oversee client release and e-signature processes. u2022 Manage receipt of settlement funds and collaborate with accounting to finalize disbursements to clients and medical providers. Requirements u2022 At least 2 years of experience in personal injury settlement disbursement or a similar role. u2022 Comprehensive knowledge of personal injury practices, including medical treatment protocols, lien negotiation, and insurance billing. u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, legal teams, and medical providers. u2022 Proficiency in administrative tasks such as data entry, answering inbound calls, and managing electronic medical records. u2022 Familiarity with government regulations and healthcare policies related to personal injury cases. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively within a legal team and maintain a high level of attention to detail. u2022 Experience with case management systems, such as Filevine, is preferred. u2022 Exceptional organizational skills to ensure timely and accurate handling of settlement funds and documentation.
