JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job description: Position Title: Trailer Mechanic Tank& Hazardous Materials Endorsements Department: Service/Maintenance Type:DIRECT HIRE Location: Green Bay, Wisconsin Employment Type: Full-TimeSalary Range: Based on Experience Job Summary We are seeking anexperienced Trailer Mechanic with Tanker (N) and Hazardous Materials (H)endorsements to inspect, maintain, and repair tank trailers incompliance with DOT regulations. This role focuses on safety-criticalsystems and requires hands-on expertise with tank trailers, brakingsystems, and hydraulic and pneumatic components. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform DOT-regulated inspections on cargo tanks and trailers Diagnoseand repair tank trailer systems, ensuring all safety equipment, gaskets,valves, and fittings function properly Conduct preventative maintenanceto reduce downtime and ensure regulatory compliance Repair and serviceair brake systems, suspension components, and running gear Work withhydraulic and pneumatic systems used on tank trailers Perform weldingand fabrication as needed for trailer and tank repairs Complete accurateinspection and repair documentation Follow all safety, environmental,and company procedures Required Skills and Technical Expertise Strongknowledge of tank trailer construction and DOT cargo tank regulationsProficiency in welding (MIG, TIG, or stick, depending on shop needs)Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Advanced understandingof air brake systems Ability to troubleshoot mechanical andsafety-related issues efficiently Licensing and Endorsements Valid ClassA CDL preferred or required Tanker (N) and Hazardous Materials (H)endorsements required or ability to obtain within a defined timeframeMust qualify for and pass TSA fingerprint-based background check forHazMat endorsement Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience inheavy-duty trailer or tank trailer maintenance preferred Trade schooltraining or mechanic certifications are a plus Strong attention todetail and commitment to safety Ability to work independently atterminal or shop locations Work Environment Primarily shop- orterminal-based work Regular exposure to mechanical equipment, tools, andoutdoor conditions May require lifting, standing, bending, and workingaround hazardous materials APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: E-Mail aRsum: This position is listed by aprivate employment agency.
