About this Role - Senior Purchasing Agent We arelooking for a talented Senior Purchasing Agent that has a passion forquality construction. This position is responsible for leading materialprocurement efforts on major construction projects and providesmentoring to fellow team members. What You'll Do -Leads the procurementefforts on multiple or complex large projects. -Provides management,guidance, and assistance to the purchasing department personnel.-Selects vendors, assesses vendor capabilities, evaluates vendorperformance, develops alternate sources, and negotiates price anddelivery. -Recommends major purchases of materials based onspecifications, current lead times and cost. -Makes certain thatpurchasing documents are properly completed and the terms and conditionsof purchases are appropriate. -Assures that department records aremaintained and that purchases are followed up or expedited whenrequired. -Analyze price histories to provide information on pricevariances. -Sets up annual blanket pricing agreements. -Preparescorrespondence, presentations and reports for key customers andmanagement. -Works with the estimating department on pricing ofestimates. -Works with project management to procure materials at thecorrect cost and in a timely manner. What You'll Bring -7+ years ofelectrical construction material procurement experience is preferred-Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering -Relatedexperience in the electrical construction industry will be considered-Experience working in electrical distribution is preferred -Knowledgeof standard purchasing procedures and practices -Ability to explain andmotivate others to follow Company purchasing practices and procedures.-Good negotiating and...
