Manufacturing Cell Processing Specialist II (Contract) Location: Winston-Salem, NC Onsite Pay Rate: $28-$31 Position Summary The Manufacturing Cell Processing Specialist II plays a key role in supporting advanced cell therapy manufacturing operations in a cGMP-regulated environment. This position focuses on hands-on cell processing activities, operating specialized production equipment, and ensuring compliance with established manufacturing and quality standards. The role also contributes to process improvement initiatives, supports investigations, and provides mentorship to team members while maintaining a strong focus on safety, documentation accuracy, and product quality. Please note: This is a contract position and benefits are not included. Responsibilities + Lead and support cell processing activities in accordance with cGMP guidelines and manufacturing procedures. + Read, understand, and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for assigned tasks while providing guidance to team members as needed. + Set up, operate, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment such as controlled-rate freezers, orbital shakers, and related production systems. + Perform final product freezing and storage of cell therapy materials in LN2 while maintaining strict quality standards. + Maintain and update SOPs, batch records, and manufacturing documentation to ensure GMP compliance. + Conduct routine inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate material tracking. + Execute ERP transactions including material requests and production documentation. + Ensure accuracy of GMP documentation such as batch records, logbooks, and forms in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). + Support and lead deviation investigations and CAPA activities when necessary. + Provide mentorship and training to junior staff on cell processing techniques and cGMP compliance. + Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support incident investigations and resolution efforts. + Perform aseptic manufacturing operations in a cleanroom environment while adhering to sterile technique and regulatory standards. + Conduct material qualification testing for incoming manufacturing materials. + Support process development and validation activities as needed. + Assist with data collection, analysis, and reporting for process optimization. Qualifications Education + Associate or Bacheloru2019s degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field preferred. + Equivalent relevant experience may substitute for formal education. Experience + 2u20134 years of experience in cell processing, biotechnology manufacturing, or related laboratory/manufacturing environment. + At least 1u20132 years of experience working in a cGMP-regulated environment preferred. Skills + Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and documentation practices. + Experience working in cleanroom and aseptic processing environments. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems preferred. + Excellent organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
