Job Description Business and Computer TeacherPosition OverviewThe Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and rigorous instruction aligned with Bishop Kelley's academic standards and Catholic educational mission. This position requires a strong commitment to student learning, professional collaboration, and fostering a positive, respectful classroom environment.As an employee of Bishop Kelley, you understand and agree that you will serve as a minister of the Catholic faith called to teach and act in faithful accordance with the precepts and teachings of the Catechism of the Catholic Church ("CCC") and the local ordinary, the Bishop of the Diocese of Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma. As an employee, you will, by both word and deed, serve as an integral part of the religious formation of the students entrusted to the School by their parents as part of their sacred vocation (cf. CCC n. 2201-203; 22 29). You will serve as a minister of the Catholic faith and will be called to give a personal witness to the Gospel at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesInstructional DutiesWillingness to understand and commit to the mission of Bishop Kelley High School as a Diocesan Catholic institution.Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum guidelines and instructional objectives.Employ a variety of teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and tegrate technology and 21st-century skills into classroom instruction.Provide timely and meaningful feedback on student assignments, assessments, and progress.Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and academic performance.Classroom EnvironmentCreate a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that promotes respect and student engagement.Establish and enforce classroom expectations consistent with school policies.Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and student collaboration.Professional ResponsibilitiesCollaborates effectively with colleagues and administration to support curriculum and school initiatives.Upholds and promotes the Catholic mission of the school through the consistent modeling of Christian values and involvement in community and service municates professionally with parents and maintains positive relationships with students.Participates in professional development and school events.Supports the Catholic mission and adheres to school policies while demonstrating strong professional responsibility.Opportunities are available in a variety of athletic programs, assistant coaching roles, and academic or fine arts areas, including support services, competitive teams, and student clubs.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in education or a related subject area.Valid teaching certification or ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe.Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.Must be cleared through the Virtus Background Check (Done by Bishop Kelley)PreferredMaster's degree in education or a related subject area.Prior teaching experience at the secondary level.Experience in Catholic or private school education.Familiarity with instructional technology and modern pedagogical practices.Physical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and engage with students for extended periods.Occasional evening or weekend commitments for school events, conferences, or activities.Lifting up to 20 lbs unassistedFrequent prolonged standing, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping, and walking.Apply using this link: Send applications or inquiries to:
