Retirement Plan Administration Manager--ESOPPlans Full-Time | Remote/Flexible Options Available We are seeking an experienced Retirement Plan Administration Manager to join our collaborative and growing team. This role is ideal for a professional with deep ESOP/401(k) expertise who enjoys client interaction, technical problem solving, and team leadership. Responsibilities Client Service & Technical Work Review census and asset data for annual compliance requirements. Review Forms 5500 and all related schedules. Oversee and delegate trust accounting and related administrative projects. Review or perform annual compliance testing (ADP/ACP, top heavy, 402(g), 415). Provide guidance on plan operations including loans, distributions, and hardships. Conduct ERISA research and assist with payroll-related benefit issues. Review employer contribution calculations using pro rata, permitted disparity, and cross tested methods. Respond promptly to client inquiries and manage ongoing communication. Coordinate workflow and collaborate across departments to resolve client matters. Leadership & Management Prepare billing invoices as needed. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and peers. Train and mentor less experienced staff; delegate tasks appropriately. Maintain professionalism and composure during peak work periods. Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 6+ years of retirement plan administration experience. ESOP experience required. QKA or CPA designation. Strong knowledge of ERISA and IRS regulations. Experience with Forms 5500 and 1099 R. Proficiency in compliance testing (ADP/ACP, top heavy, 402(g), 415). Experience with employee benefits-specific software. Ability to understand and communicate plan document provisions. ASPPA, CEBS, or NIPA certifications. Preferred Experience with Relius software.
