Job Title: MIG Welder Job Description We are seeking skilled MIG welders to join our team. You will be responsible for performing MIG welds on 18 gauge mild steel up to 1/2 inch mild steel. Your role will include fabricating and welding parts and assemblies for pavement maintenance equipment, safety railings, and other pavement machine components. You will primarily perform Butt & fill welds and will also handle grinding and finishing as needed on parts. Responsibilities + Perform MIG welds on 18 gauge to 1/2 inch mild steel. + Fabricate and weld parts and assemblies for pavement maintenance equipment. + Perform Butt & fill welds majority of the time. + Conduct grinding and finishing on parts as required. Essential Skills + MIG welding experience and/or technical degree. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints & weld symbols. + High School Diploma. Additional Skills & Qualifications + MIG welding on mild steel is a plus. + Familiarity with blueprint reading. + Experience with Flux core and stainless steel welding. + Proficiency in using tape measures and working with sheet metal. Work Environment The work environment is a large warehouse-like facility where both fabrication and assembly of equipment for the industrial roofing industry takes place. Most materials used are mild steel, and the workstations are clean and well-organized. The company also utilizes outsourced piece parts including motors, pneumatic components, and electronics. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
