Join the Maps Developer Platform team to bring the revolutionary Apple Maps experience to developers building on native Apple technologies. Description As a Native Platform Engineer on the Maps Developer Platform team, you will work at the intersection of system frameworks, developer tooling, and cartographic technology. We build the APIs and tools powering the Apple Maps Developer experience. On our team, you will help us take new features from conceptualization, through design and implementation, all the way to announcing them at Apple's Developer Conference Furthermore, you will partner directly with a wide range of clients to build highly impactful mapping solutions, including FindMy, Weather, Photos, and 3rd party developers. Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor's in Computer Science and at least 2+ years of software engineering experience in a production environment + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to explain complex problems clearly and succinctly + Passion to collaborate and iterate on ideas in a cross-functional team + Proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C + Familiarity with SwiftUI and/or UIKit + Experience writing testable code and familiarity with unit testing frameworks Preferred Qualifications + At least 6 years of full-time relevant work experience + Familiarity with system architecture and API design + Proven track record of architecting, developing, releasing and supporting critically important software components + Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or other spatial visualization systems Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
