CTL Engineering/CTL Infrastructure has openings for Equipment Operator 3 (Drilling Operator) for infrastructure projectsCTL Infrastructure is a division of CTL Engineering (- an award-winning, full-service consulting engineering firm with (15) locations across OH, IN, WV, KY, NC, SC, and VA with a rich history over our (99) years in business. We provide civil/site design and land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, troubleshooting & installation, transportation design (bridge/roadway), and specialized testing services to the construction industry.We are looking for Equipment Operators who will play a key role in all aspects of construction services on infrastructure projects, performing skilled functions such as working in the construction and maintenance of highways, municipal waterline systems, etc.You use your experience and gain new skills to assist clients through our cross-functional team dynamic and company culture.If you are passionate about staying ahead of industry trends, enjoy problem-solving, and have an interest in infrastructure construction, we want to hear from youThis is more than a job posting... it's an invitation to bring your expertise to a company where innovation and passion converge seamlessly.Highlights:The selected applicant will train to become a Drilling Operator and act as a backup to drillers, while providing general support with geotechnical drilling to facilitate site sampling, analysis, and investigation.Perform a variety of tasks such as inspecting and maintaining drilling equipment and vehicles, logging and packaging samples, gathering appropriate sampling tools, etc.May be exposed to hazardous working conditions and inclement weather. A valid class A or class B Commercial Driver's License is required.Responsibilities:Operates a hydraulic crane.Utilizes heavy motorized equipment to excavate, backfill, grade, or level soil and aggregate.Utilizes heavy motorized equipment to grade surfaces, roll or compact soil and aggregate.Leads or trains lower-level equipment operators.Assists the Driller in positioning the drilling rig.Adds rods or augers to drill.Removes core samples from the core barrel.Assists in cleaning and maintenance of the drilling rig and related tools and stalls steel piling in pre-drilled holes.Cleans the drilling site of debris after drilling is completed.Sets and detonates explosive charges for earth removal.Makes major repairs to highways, culverts, bridge structures, etc.Makes minor mechanical repairs in the field such as changing tires, blades, or filters.Responsible for maintaining equipment maintenance including but not limited to cleaning and lubricating equipment and checking fluid levelsOther duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of safety practices used in structural steel construction.Knowledge of the procedures, techniques and equipment used in the area of assignment.Knowledge of the occupational hazards and applicable safety standards and procedures in the area of assignment.Knowledge...
