University of Michigan Health-West (Formally Metro Health) is looking for Lead Interventional Radiology Technologist -Shift: Days (Four 10-hourr shifts per week)- Satisfactory completion of formal radiographic technology program in an AMA-approved school and/or successful completion of board registry by ARRT in Radiography and IR: RT (R) (CV or VIR)- Current ALS certification -- Advanced life support.- Maintain ARRT certification.- Minimum of 3-5 years of Interventional Radiology experience required.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:1. Coordinates and develops training of new staff2. Provides safe and effective patient care while performing duties of Interventional Radiology technologist.3. Utilize and effectively use all Radiology equipment and software in the performance of daily responsibilities.4. Maintain certifications, registrations, and education requirements of the hospital and accrediting body.5. Will use the principle of As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) to minimize radiation dose.6. Demonstrate the appropriate knowledge of all protocols and procedures.7. Display consistent proficiency in using AIDET when communicating with patients, visitors, physicians, peers, managers, volunteers, internal and external customers.8.
