Receiving Inspector

Our client, in Harlan NE, a leading industrial products manufacturer, is seeking a Receiving Inspector to join their team.As a Receiving Inspector, you will be part of the Quality Department supporting Purchasing, Production, and Supplier Quality teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and solid problem‑solving abilities to be successful in this role. Job Title: Receiving Inspector Location: Harlan, IA Pay Range:$25/hr DOE What’s the Job? • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and compliance with engineering drawings and standards. • Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.) to verify product specifications. • Identify, tag, and quarantine nonconforming materials; assist with disposition and sorting. • Support internal and supplier audits (some travel required). • Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Production, and QA teams to resolve material and vendor quality issues. What’s Needed? • High school diploma or GED; related quality or warehouse experience preferred. • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. • Experience with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) required. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ERP systems. • Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
