Veterinary Technician - Per Diem

Premier Veterinary Group is looking for a Per Diem Veterinary Technician to support our ER team in our BRAND NEW facility in Mundelein IL!Per Diem Employee- An employee who is available to work as needed for coverage above and beyond the full time staff members in times of need for optimal patient care. Availability requirements are established by hospital necessity and shifts may vary, including day, swing, overnight, weekend, and holidays. This position offers the opportunity for growth within our patient care and emergency/specialty services, with the flexibility of being able to choose which available shifts work with your schedule.The primary responsibility of theVeterinary Technicianis to support and assistance to the veterinary medical staff. Provides exemplary patient and client service with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets. Responsibilities for this position would include but are not limited to basic record keeping, animal restraint and husbandry, administering oral medications, stocking of medical supplies, and maintaining safety and cleanliness of workspace.About You:The ability to prioritize and adapt to a fast paced, fluid environment.Skilled in phlebotomy and IV catheter placement in canine and feline patients that are stable or compromisedPossess a good overall knowledge of disease processes, medical math, stable anesthesia and pharmacologyLooking to commit to at least 2-3 shifts every monthHave excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compensation:Wage is dependent on experience and will be discussed in interviewWe offer shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shift!Minimum Qualifications3-4 years experience as a veterinary assistant/technician in a progressive general practice and/or 2 years in a specialty practicePer Diem employees areNOTeligible for benefits.Ethos Veterinary Healthis at the forefront of innovation and world-class medicine.
